We had planned to go to Doodhpathri in the early of April. But intermittent rains forced us to delay the journey. We later planned in the month of August. One warm August morning we started our journey from Srinagar. We had to stop at a couple of places to pick up some friends. The road to Doodhpathri was smooth and serenely beautiful. We passed the villages, towns, small forestlands to finally set foot on the beautiful meadow of Doodhpathri.
We reached Doodhpathri at around 11 in the morning. We had already packed our lunch and other snacks. After parking our car in the parking, we went straight to do this small trek and reached Sokhnag waterfall. The view was worth the trek. We rested there for some time, processing and capturing all the beauty we could. From there we came back and by the banks of Shaliganga River we enjoyed our peaceful lunch
In lunch we had carried Kashmiri rice with Rista and Tabak-Maaz. Then we went on to see some of the places nearby. We carried ourselves on the horsebacks to reach Reshikhal. Reshikhal is insanely beautiful meadow that gives you one of the most beautiful feelings while travelling.
Coming back from Reshikhal, we stopped by a small eatery to enjoy some Maki ki Roti with Pickle and yogurt. That was a well deserved snack after this place. It was now almost Sunset and we engaged in some photography by the meadows of Doodhpathri. Doodhpathri is one of those beautiful Places where you can enjoy the Sunrise/Set of your life.
By nightfall we were travelling back from Doodhpathri towards Srinagar
