  4. Issuance of Permit: Once CHC and Aadhaar are verified, the bank prints a Yatra Permit. The permit (system-generated) will show the pilgrim’s route (“BALTAL” or “PAHALGAM”), date of travel, and a QR code. The bank officer signs and stamps the permit. This permit is your official travel pass.
  5. Collect RFID card: After registration, pilgrim must collect an RFID tracking card from designated centers (in Jammu/Srinagar) before trekking. (This is mandatory.)
  6. The registration fee for Amarnath Yatra 2026 is approximately ₹150 per person. It is important to note that while some older information indicates ₹120, pilgrims should rely on the more recent and consistent data pointing to ₹150, and confirm the exact fee on the official SASB website.

The provision of both online and offline registration channels demonstrates a commitment to making the pilgrimage accessible to a broad spectrum of devotees. This dual-channel approach caters to varying levels of digital literacy and geographical access, ensuring that individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those in rural areas with limited internet connectivity, can complete the necessary formalities. This inclusive strategy helps maximize participation while maintaining an organized registration system.

Furthermore, the mandatory upload of a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) and the subsequent collection of RFID cards as integral components of the registration process highlight a comprehensive approach to pilgrim safety and management. The registration is not merely an administrative step; it serves as a critical gateway for health pre-screening, mitigating risks associated with high-altitude travel, and enabling real-time tracking for security purposes. This integration means that the registration process forms a fundamental layer of pilgrim well-being and security throughout the challenging journey, demonstrating a robust safety framework.
