Tulip Festival in Srinagar

Tulip season in Kashmir begins with the onset of spring every year. Almost around 3rd week of March the tulips and other flowers in the Tulip Gardens are in full bloom and last up until the last week of April. This period of almost 40 days is known as the Tulip festival in Kashmir.

In this period more than 70 lakh flowers bloom in almost 72 acres of Land, duly filled with flower beds, water fountains as well as walkways. You can easily walk through different beds by duly maintained walkways and take a rest on grassy sitting areas.

Badamwari Bloom Festival

Badamwari Spring Blossoming festival is one of such festivals that inform the arrival of spring. During the beginning of winters, just in the 2nd week of March every year Almond trees start to blossom in the vast Badamwari gardens that give the spring tourism a new life.

Saffron Festival in Kashmir

This tremendous festival is celebrated in the first week of November to celebrate the annual Saffron Harvest and showcase the local culture. The festival is celebrated in the Saffron town, Pampore almost 15 kilometers away from Srinagar’s Lal Chowk.

Nowruz Festival in Kashmir

Nowruz literally means New Year. This is a spring festival with its traditional roots in the Central Asia and Persia. This festival marks the end of winter and the official beginning of spring.
