Yousmarg is an offbeat place and it takes a lot of time to convince your friends. But we got on a consensus to visit for a day. So, one fine morning we hopped on the journey to those meadows that are so much revered by the tourists.
Offbeat place as it is, Yousmarg has one of the best roads in the valley tourist destinations. Not only is the rood in its best condition but also the view that the road provides us is mesmerizing. During this trip, especially after we moved on from Charar Shareef, we stopped at a lot of places to enjoy the beauty as well as to capture some in our cameras.
Once we reached Yousmarg, we instantly knew we are in the heaven. The place was so cold, shining as well as beautiful. After a small meal at a local eatery we went straight to ride the ponies.
The pony wallah took us to Nilnag. We spent good quality time there. Listening to the wild voices in the forest with such a marvelous lake in front of eyes is such an experience which we can never forget.
After coming back from Nilnag we first made the promise that we will come back next year and stay for a couple of days for trekking. After that we walked from one side of the meadow to another and from there to the middle again.
We engaged in quite some photography as well as videography. The time we spent there was one of the purest moments that we ever lived.
With heavy heart we watched the sunset behind the Himalayas and we boarded our vehicle and came back to Srinagar.
