Mata Vaishno Devi

One of the most respected shrines in India is dedicated to the Hindu deity Mata Vaishno Devi. She is revered as the Hindu goddesses Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati together, and is seen as a representation of strength, prosperity, and wisdom. It is possible to reach the shrine honouring her by trekking 13 kilometres from Katra in the state of Jammu and Kashmir's Trikuta Mountains. Millions of worshippers visit the temple every year in order to receive the goddess' blessings. Vaishno Devi is respected for her capacity to grant the wishes of her devotees and is seen as a representation of universal motherhood.
